Service Advisor

CROWN Auto Group , one of Canada's Best Managed Companies and Aon Hewitt’s Best Employer, is a family owned organization that believes in strong quality, integrity, and teamwork, with a great opportunity for a Service Advisor within the Crown Auto Group.

The Service Advisor is the primary liaison between the Service Department and its customers. The Service Advisor is responsible for assisting the customers with service and maintenance needs, and assuring the customers’ continued satisfaction with their vehicles and the dealership.

The Role:

  • Greet customers promptly
  • Obtain customer and vehicle information
  • Review vehicle repair history and verify any needs for recalls
  • Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer, using specific descriptions
  • Determine needed maintenance
  • Promote the sales of labour, parts and accessories
  • Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labour and parts
  • Assure that special orders parts are correct for repairs to vehicle
  • Handle customer inquiries
  • Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the R.O
  • Notify all customers by telephone with additional required work and with total charges
  • Explain all completed work and charges to customers when they arrive and attempt to make the next maintenance appointment
  • Oversee delivery of vehicles to the customer after their visit from the cashier
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Manager
  • Update the dealer profile. Perform general customer file maintenance, i.e., address changes, updating personal information
  • Update vehicle maintenance records
  • Support and reinforce various dealership processes as they relate to the One-to-One Service Process

Skill and Effort:

  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Technically familiar with automobiles
  • Customer service skill
  • Computer literate

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Automotive experience required
  • Customer Service experience an asset
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and time management expertise
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer oriented, polite, courteous
